Cheap motels are rare in New York so during our latest New York escapade, we decided to try Super 8 motels in Stamfort CT using a discounted motel reservations. This side of Connecticut is very near New York and if you have car, you can save a lot especially if you take advantage of the company's discounts. We got the room for only $70 which was $30 less than the lowest priced budget motel in the area.

Super 8 River Grove - Best Room Rate we Got in Illinois

We went to Illinois last weekend to visit college friends and stayed at Super 8 Motel River Grove using a printable motel coupon. Even though the location is not as centrally located as some hotels in the city, we chose this because of the cost and the reputation of the motel chain. We stayed in a number of motels already and we always loved Super 8 accommodations. We were a bit disappointed but for the low price of $49/night, we still got good value.

The room is typical of many Super 8 motels – not that big but cleaned everyday. The carpet needs vacuuming though because when you walk barefooted, your feet will feel the dust from the carpet. The breakfast is good but the breakfast area is a little small for 20 or so guests having their breakfast there so we just took our breakfast up to our room.
